Problem/Challenge

Residential building that uses a community air conditioning and ACS (domestic hot water) system, where air conditioning and ACS share a generation system.

Implemented solution

kiControl panel for management of DHW and climate production (valves, pumps, probes, etc.). The control coordinates the generation of heat for DHW and climate through a single heat pump. Performs anti-legionella treatment and pump schedule programming.

Energy and volumetric meters for wateEnergy and volumetric meters for water are connected per home.r are connected per home.

All information is sent to kiCloud for data logging, fault alarm reporting and remote control.

Results and subsequent improvements

After the success of the project, specific software is created to generate monthly reports of m3 of water consumed, thanks to the kiAnalytics tool.

How Kiconex can help in residential

At Kiconex, our mission is clear: to offer technological solutions that improve operational efficiency and reduce energy consumption. An excellent example of this approach is our recent project, a residential building that faced great challenges in the management of its air conditioning and domestic hot water (DHW) systems. Here we tell you how our IoT solutions have made a significant difference.

The Challenge: Complex Coordination and Uncontrolled Consumption

Before implementing our technology, the building faced complicated management. The system required two independent units for heat generation, one for air conditioning and another for DHW. Of course it lacked efficient control, resulting in unnecessary energy use and difficult-to-manage demand peaks. Added to this was the need to comply with strict safety controls, such as anti-legionella treatment, and to accurately monitor water consumption throughout the building in order to pass on electrical costs.

The Kiconex Solution: kiControl and kiAnalytics

Our solution was to implement, through kiControl, an automated management system that allowed the valves, pumps and temperatures of the heat generation systems to be efficiently coordinated. This system, integrated with volumetric water and energy meters, allowed real-time monitoring and automatic adjustments according to needs.

kiCloud, providing administrators with remote access to control of the entire building, with the ability to receive alerts and manage consumption from anywhere. To comply with safety regulations, we also include automatic anti-legionella treatment.

Finally, thanks to kiAnalitics Automatic reports can be generated on water consumption. These reports allow Rosenhügel administrators to identify usage patterns and further optimize the management of this essential resource.

Results: Savings, Security and Total Control

Thanks to the implementation of our IoT solutions, Rosenhügel now enjoys a much more efficient and secure operation. Key findings include:

  • Significant energy savings: Automatic coordination of systems has reduced consumption and improved operational efficiency.
  • Real-time monitoring: Administrators have full access to water and energy consumption data, allowing them to make informed decisions instantly.
  • Automation of anti-legionella treatment: Guaranteeing health safety without manual effort.

Conclusion
If your company or building needs more efficient resource management, Kiconex has the perfect solution for you. From remote monitoring to full automation, our IoT tools can transform the way you manage energy and essential resources.
